Safeguarding and child protection
ULTIMATE KARATE is dedicated to safeguarding all its members, especially children and vulnerable adults. Our robust safeguarding policy ensures that all instructors and staff undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and receive regular training in child protection. SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT
Ultimate Karate is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students. We follow recognised safeguarding standards and procedures to ensure the welfare and protection of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All instructors and assistants
must adhere to our Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct, and reporting procedures. Any concerns regarding safety, wellbeing, or conduct must be reported immediately to the Club Welfare Officer (Samantha) or Chief Instructor (Neil).
Code of conduct and ethics
ULTIMATE KARATE maintains a clear and robust code of conduct for students, instructors, and parents, built on the principles of respect, discipline, and integrity both inside and outside the dojo. Our ethical standards create a fair, inclusive environment where every member feels valued and supported.

Our training environments follow strict safety regulations, our facilities are regularly assessed, and all instructors are fully first‑aid trained to ensure a secure learning experience.

DATA PROTECTION & RETENTION STATEMENT
All personal information provided on this form is collected for the purpose of ensuring student safety, managing participation in martial arts activities, and meeting our legal obligations. Your data will be stored securely and accessed only by authorised personnel. Information will be retained for the duration of your membership and for a reasonable period thereafter, in accordance with our GDPR-compliant Data Retention Policy. You may request access to correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to legal and safeguarding requirements.
